Canyon Kennels is a small kennel with 52 individual dog runs and 15 cat
kennels. The kennel currently holds
an 'A' rating by the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and
Control. Our goal is to provide personal care to each and every animal we
house and
give their owners piece of mind as they drive away. We
can provide this kind of care by limiting our intake to 55
dogs and 15 cats. Each dog has their own spacious run which is completely sheltered. Each run is also equipped with a dog house which is suitably sized for your dog. There are also cooling mist-ers in each run for comfort during hot days. An air conditioned and heated room is available to bring the dogs into during harsh weather. We always try and house your dog next to a compatible 'roomie' as well. As for the cats, they are housed indoors, away from the dogs. We have a life size tree for the cats to play and lounge on. We take them out of their cat kennels and rotate them individually through out the day. We feed both the cats and the dogs EaglePak Super Premium Pet Food, a combination of dry and wet daily. Dogs are never free fed. Morning feeding is 7:30 a.m. and evening feeding is 4:30 p.m. Dry cat food is kept full for the cats through out the day. Feel free to bring your own food if you want to keep with the same diet. We accommodate pets taking medication as well. We take pride in being extremely clean and sanitary. Dogs and cats are picked up after daily. Bowls and water pails are also cleaned daily, and blankets are laundered every 3rd day. You are invited to come and visit the kennel anytime during business hours.
